If your problem isn’t covered in this FAQ, your best bet would be to post your question to comment section below. Be sure to provide all the relevant detail(s) about question with VerLim and jQuery.

Beginner’s Guide

If you are completely new to jQuery plugins, try reading the VerLim beginner’s guide

Common Problems

• I have added the code as it is but still not able to see progress bar.

Make sure you have added reference to JQuery and VerLim.js, if added check the configuration setting and make active : “on”

• I have added the added theme’s css file but still theme not applied.

By default theme is off, you have to make it enable manually by Passing theme configuration from the js code; read complete list of the settings here

• I have added the code as below but it’s not working

Did you placed it just before closing body tag (i.e. </body>)? Read VerLim.js Beginner’s Guide to get more detail on this.

• I have changed the autoHideTime setting as per my requirement but, progress bar doesn’t auto hides.

autoHideTime setting works only if the autoHide feature is turned on; make sure you have passed the autoHide setting as on; read complete list of the settings here

• I am using the below configuration along with all necessary references still no joy.

The RGB color supplied here should be prefix with a # so that the plug in can discriminate between RGB code and color name (e.g. red/green etc.)

• I am using the below code snippet but the progress bar hides very fast.

The autoHideTime configuration takes only integers as time (in seconds), no need to additionally post fix “sec” or provide JQuery slow/fast keywords, if non integer data passed it will use jQuery fast keyword to hide the bar.

• I am using the below code, but not getting any output on screen.

Check the browser console you might see this error, Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier, Just because you missed comma before shadow setting. (well sail “sometimes a small comma/semicolon ruins developers life”), nevertheless Use below code snippet

• I am using the below code, but getting Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token , in console.

Added extra comma after the last configuration setting. Use below code snippet

How To

• Disable VerLim without major changing the existing code.

To disable VerLim pass active configuration as off, leave other thing as it is whenever again required toggle the same to on.

• Show transparent progress bar with shadow effect.

Do not pass any value in color option and make shadow as on.
